Our 1979 vintage was the first wine bottled under the DIEZ-CABALLERO name. Excellent harvests in 1981 and 1982 opened the door to Crianza wines for marketing through select, private channels.
In what was a great honour for us our first Reserva – the 1987 – was selected for the opening ceremony of the Acería Compacta de Bizkaia steel mill, which was attended by King Juan Carlos.
The mysterious workings of time give our wine an exquisite complexity, enabling us to continue producing great wines.
Our Reservas were followed by our 2000,2001, 2004 and 2005 “Vendimia Seleccionada” [“Vintage Selection”].
In 2010 we began to market our Victoria 2007. The run of five thousand bottles was quickly sold out as it was snapped up by our customers and friends. Victoria 2008, which came onto the market in 2011, has the potential in terms of aroma and taste to become the best wine in our brief but distinguished history.
